  SUMMARY OF FIRST PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

                   We started our first phase of teaching practice at St.Goretti H.S.S. punalur,on 22/6/16.The principal of sabarigiri college of education allowed nine student teachers to St.Goretti school.They were Athulya,Ahalya,Salmi, Soumya, from social science Nithya,Rohini,Aleena from physical science.Anusree.Anju, from natural science.With good co-operation and effective support from the head master ,teachiing and non-teaching staffs and students of the St. Goretti school,we successfully completed our 50 days of teaching practice.

CURRICULAR ACTIVITES

• All the teacher trainees got seventh and eighth standars for teaching 
• We completed 40 lesson template during these periods.
• For effective teaching we took ICT lesson in the classs rooms.
• For a change from normal classrooms, we followed different models of teaching.Such as ,Concept attainment model,Inquiry training model,Advanced organizer ,Constructivist model.
• We conducted a school based activity at the school auditorium, on the topic of  "WALK TO MOON".
• To make awareness in students about "GLOBAL WARMING" ,we conducted a field study.
• After the completion of the 20 lesson template, we conducted a diagnostic test , we gave appropriate remedial measures.
•  To asses the achievement of the students, through our teaching , we conducted an achievement test based on our lesson templates.
• We completed our practical and practicum works during these days, with the help of teachers and students.
• We provide physical education training based on our lesson template.

  CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

• We conducted the school assembly , which include prayer,pledge,holybook reading,news paper reading,proverb,thought of the day,importance of the day,quiz and concluded with national anthem.
• On the day of reminiscence of Dr,A.P.J. Abdul kalam we conducted the programms such as papaer presentation ,book review,quiz etc..

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACITIVITIES

• We participated the three days of youth festival, in different roles. We practiced the students , we judged various programmes ,wrote certificates, prepared evaluation sheets, arrangnment of stage etc....
• We celebrated the seventieth Independence day we participated in flag hosting , patriotic songs competition, poster writing, quiz etc...
• We helped the students for conducting rally related to road safety .
• We participated the St. Goretti day programmes  of this school.
